Delete your Odomira account
Last updated: 2026-10-20
You can delete your Odomira account and the data linked to it at any time, either in the app or by email.
Delete in the app
- Open Odomira and make sure you are signed in to the account you want to delete.
- Tap Settings in the bottom bar.
- Tap Data & Privacy.
- Tap Delete account, then confirm with Delete account.
Deletion takes effect immediately and cannot be undone. If the app cannot reach our servers, it still signs you out and tells you that your online data was not deleted. Sign in again and repeat the steps, or use the email route below.
Request deletion by email
If you no longer have the app, email privacy@odomira.app:
- Send it from the email address of your Odomira account, so we can confirm the account is yours.
- Use the subject “Delete my Odomira account”.
- Include your username if you know it.
If you cannot write from that address, tell us and we will ask you to confirm ownership another way, such as a code sent to the account email. We delete the account within 30 days of confirming the request and reply when it is done.
What is deleted
From our servers, permanently:
- your account: email address, display name, username, password hash and Google or Apple sign-in link;
- all rides, including summaries and GPS routes;
- bikes, including names, Bluetooth addresses and the VIN if you entered one;
- garage data: fuel fills, service and part resets, odometer readings and fuel settings;
- parked bike locations;
- app settings, including saved Home and Work addresses;
- your leaderboard entries;
- group ride memberships and live positions. Groups you created and still belong to end for everyone; in other groups you are removed and the others continue.
What is kept, and for how long
- Backups: backups made before the deletion still contain your data until they rotate out: within 14 days for the nightly database copies on the server, within 7 days for Hetzner’s whole-server backups, and, where off-site backup is set up, within about 6 months for the encrypted off-site copies. Backups are used only to restore the service after a failure.
- Crash reports: if you turned on crash reports, the reports already sent are kept without any link to your account. They contain the error trace and message, the time of the crash, the app version, the phone make and model and the operating system version, and no ride or location data. They are deleted 90 days after we receive them.
- Server logs: logs of requests to our servers (IP address, time, requested address, app version, account ID) are kept for up to 56 days and then deleted. A requested address can contain a username being checked or a bike’s Bluetooth address.
- Other riders’ ride history: if you rode in a group, the other members’ saved rides keep your display name as one of the riders.
- Email codes: any pending sign-in code expires within 10 minutes and is deleted within a day.
Data on your phone
Deleting the account signs you out and removes from the phone: the rides that were backed up to the account, its fuel, service and ride-log entries, parked bike locations, saved Home and Work addresses, search history and cached map previews. Paired bikes, rides that were never backed up, other settings and app logs stay on the phone until you uninstall Odomira or clear its data in your phone’s settings (Android: Settings → Apps → Odomira → Storage → Clear storage).
Want a copy first? Use Settings → Data & Privacy → Export all data before you delete.
